The year has barely begun, but 2024 is already set to be huge for tours and concerts. From Taylor Swift to Drake, it seems all our favorite artists are touring, and now, new data from online casino Planet 7 Casino has revealed which will be the hottest tickets in town.
Using average monthly search volume data for search terms relating to tour tickets in the US for 2024, experts have found which events will be the most difficult to get tickets for, and Taylor Swift fans will be in for a battle for seats.
Over 190 search terms were used to determine the results, including phrases specifically focused on securing tickets and the artists’ names.
And it turns out that Swiftie fans may be tussling for tickets, with data showing Taylor Swift was Wisconsin’s and country’s most in-demand performer when searching for concert seats.
Fans of the star made headlines last year when opening night tickets for the Eras Tour were retailed at $11,000 by some resale websites. Despite this, the 12-time Grammy award-winning artist received 659,333 searches – a whopping 35% of those looking for concert tickets overall.
The second most popular tour tickets for 2024 were for country music sensation Morgan Wallen’s world tour One Night at a Time. The artist, who won 11 awards at last year’s Billboard Music Awards, has proven popular since extending his tour dates.
Florida is the artist’s biggest fan, with the term ‘Morgan Wallen tickets’ searched an average of 19,086 times per 100k residents, suggesting those hoping to catch him in the Sunshine State may struggle to get tickets.
And it seems tickets for country music artists may be the most in-demand this year as data shows the third highest search volume was made for seats at Zach Bryan’s The Quittin’ Time Tour.
In fact, music fans in the states of Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming searched for tickets to see Zach Bryan over any other concert. Those hoping to see the artist in Oklahoma may want to book their seats as soon as possible, as the state was found to have made the most searches for The Quittin’ Time Tour tickets, with an average of 6,137 searches per 100k residents.

Rap superstar Drake is the fourth most in-demand artist for tickets to his It’s All a Blur tour featuring J. Cole. Searches for the Canadian artist’s tour made up 13% overall (246,291 searches), with big states like California, Texas and New York Googling the most.
However, data also shows the states that searched for the artist’s tour the least, meaning fans will be in with a better chance of snagging tickets if they head to West Virginia or Mississippi, where the hip-hop star is in less demand.
Country music star Chris Stapleton was found to be the fifth hottest ticket for 2024, with 125,426 searches overall. South Carolina and Iowa proved to be his biggest fans, having made the most searches.
The ACM Award winner has already sold out the early leg of his tour in October, so fans should be quick if they don’t want to miss the chance to see hits such as “Tennessee Whiskey.”
Speaking on the search data results, a Planet 7 Casino spokesperson said:
“This year is going to be huge for live performances, with some of the biggest names in the industry hitting the stage. Taylor Swift has continued to be a huge driving force behind interest in show tickets, thanks to her constant presence in the media and social media.
After making more than a billion dollars from her Eras Tour last year, it will be interesting to see how well tickets sell in 2024 and if we will continue to see increasing revenues”.
Methodology:
Data was gathered from Google Keyword Planner, which provides monthly and annual Google search volume for key phrases and terms across the US and for each state. 194 search terms were used to source data from the past 12 months, including ‘[artist] tickets’ and ‘[artist] tour’.
