MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On Thursday, October 5 at 8:26pm, a caller reported a trash can fire outside the Wildwood Park pavilion. Marshfield Police arrived and extinguished the fire and Marshfield Fire Department ensured it would not reignite.
The complainant stated he did not witness anyone in the area or otherwise see anything suspicious. Although the fire appeared to be accidental, two juveniles who were known to be near the pavilion the night prior and a third who may have been at the park, were spoken with and stated they didn’t go to the park this particular evening.
