Travis Kelce officially the most popular NFL player in 49 states

  • New research has revealed the most popular NFL players according to Google search volume

  • Travis Kelce is the most searched-for player in 49 states and has over 4.75 million searches every month

  • Teammate Patrick Mahomes is the second most popular player with 1.68 million monthly searches

Travis Kelce has been named the most popular NFL player across America, according to a new study that analyzed Google search data.

The research from FlashPicks, a betting picks, parlays, predictions and news brand, analyzed Google Search volume in each US State for more than 200 of the most high-profile NFL players, to find the most popular stars in the league.

The study revealed that Travis Kelce ranks in first place, and is the most searched-for player in 49 states.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is by far the most searched-for player in the US and receives an enormous 4.75 million Google searches every month, 3 million more than any other player in the NFL.

Kelce’s increased popularity in recent times has been boosted by his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, and it’s having a positive impact on his commerciality as shown by the research.

The only state in which Kelce is not the number one searched player is Minnesota, where his 90,500 monthly average searches don’t quite match that of Kirk Cousins. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback left the Vikings after last season, but fans clamor for him still as he has featured in 110,000 searches per month in 2024.

The only other state where Kelce has competition for the top spot is Wisconsin, where he shares the most popular player accolade with Aaron Rodgers, as both players have 90,500 online searches on average.
