Tri-County Penguins Football Season Preview

Coaching staff

Head Coach: TJ Robinson

Assistant Coaches: Andy Palzkill, Tom Robinson, Dallas Topper

Offense:  key returning players

We had a lot of seniors last year, so some of our returning players that we are looking forward to are Nate Severin, Jovanni Mata, Cayden Weis.

Defense: key returning players

Very similar to the offensive side of the ball, a lot of seniors who graduated.  Some returners though are Nate Severin, Jovanni Mata, Brendan Brewer

Conference outlook

We have a tough conference with the returning state champs, Newman Catholic, but we are looking forward to competing in conference this year.  We added Almond-Bancroft to our conference this year and we are really looking forward to trying to compete for a top spot in our conference.

Keys to your success on offense

Our keys to any successful team would be everyone doing their job and what they are asked to do every given play.  If everyone does the job asked of them, our offense will be successful in moving the ball.

Keys to your success on defense

We really struggled last year with finishing plays on defense.  We always made it to the POA but could never seem to finish the play every time.  If we can be more consistent at finishing plays, our players will be in the right spots when needed to make this defense successful.

Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?

Some of the people behind the scenes that have helped our program are first, our AD, Dawn Bryum.  Dawn has been an amazing support for our program with going above and beyond with doing things asked of her.  She is always there for support with the players and coaches.  The administration here at Tri-County has been awesome with getting a new coach for us in staff.  The last would be the players of our program. They do not get the credit they deserve some of the time.  We have been using the last couple years as building years and they have stuck it out no matter what and never gave up.  They have been the reason we will be successful in our program.

What is your football program all about? How do you measure success?

Our football program is about family.  We are one family and one unit.  We will work together more and more as a team and as one unit.  We are working on making these players become athletes and better humans in life.  Coaching is not only a way to teach players how to play a sport properly, but also how to go on in life and be respectful.  If the athletes do what is asked of them, we will be successful no matter what will come at the end.
