Vehicle Accident in the Town of Auburndale
AUBURNDALE, WI (ONFOCUS) On July 2, 2021 at approximately 8:28 pm Wood County Communication Center received call that two vehicles were involved in an accident at intersection of County Highway M and County Highway Y in the Town of Auburndale.
Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call, along with Auburndale Fire Department and Marshfield Fire/Rescue to the known location.
After initial investigation it was reported by Wood County Sheriff’s Department that a sport utility vehicle (SUV) was traveling westbound from the stop sign on County Highway Y and was struck by a pickup truck traveling southbound on County Highway M.
Both the female driver from the SUV, and the male driver of the pickup truck were transported by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center. The female was treated and released from the hospital and the male is in stable condition.
This incident is still under current investigation. Also assisting the Wood County Sheriff’s Department were Wisconsin State Patrol, Wood County Highway Department, Dave’s Service Center, and Draxler’s Service.
