Two-Vehicle Crash in Township of Arpin Sends Two to Hospital, One via Med Flight

ARPIN, WI (OnFocus) – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Road and State Highway 186 in the Township of Arpin resulted in two individuals being transported to Marshfield Medical Center on Tuesday evening, March 25.

The Wood County Dispatch Center received the call at approximately 6:36 p.m. Deputies from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, along with first responders, arrived on scene and initiated emergency medical procedures.

According to an initial investigation, one of the vehicles involved failed to yield the right of way while crossing STH Hwy 186 from North Road. The second vehicle was traveling westbound on STH Hwy 186 when the collision occurred.

One individual was airlifted from the scene by Life Link Air Medical Transport to Marshfield Medical Center. A second individual was transported by ambulance to the same facility for treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been released at this time.

Agencies assisting at the scene included the Arpin Fire Department, Pittsville Ambulance Service, Life Link Air Medical Transport, and Dave’s Tow Service. The incident remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
