LUBLIN, WI (OnFocus) – A train struck a toddler in the Village of Lublin Tuesday evening, resulting in the toddler’s death.
According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, the toddler appeared to be unattended at the time of the incident.
Reports from the area said the train conductor noticed the two-year-old running next to the tracks before the child was hit and was unable to stop the train in time to avoid the incident.
An investigation of the incident is ongoing.
