As reported by multiple media sources, Oklahoma and Texas are considering moving from the Big 12 to the SEC for football, a move that could be the first of major changes to college football conference shakeups.

College Football is big business, for sure.

Reports about the possible move broke on Wednesday, and neither school has denied the possibility.

Texas and Oklahoma have flirted with defection before, and with the SEC’s TV contract having already swelled to $3 billion, well, money talks.

What could this all mean?

  • The SEC would become even stronger
  • The Big 12 would become a small player in college football
  • The Big Ten could look to make a splash by adding more teams:
    • Iowa State?
    • TCU?
    • Notre Dame?
    • Recruit some ACC teams?
