MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – As the school year approaches, a main road used to get to areas like Grant Elementary School and the YMCA remains under construction.
The stretch of McMillan Street from Fig Ave. to Central Ave. has been under construction since June 21 as the City street division repaves one of the busier streets in Marshfield.
Street division Superintendent Kris Hawley said the project will be completed in time for school to start.
“West McMillan is scheduled to be paved by American Asphalt next week on Thursday, August 19th and Friday, August 20th, weather permitting,” Hawley said. “Lane marking and painting to be followed immediately after with full opening and completed project early the week of August 23rd, weather permitting.”
In a release from the City Communication Department in June, they said they appreciated the public’s patience and understanding during the construction.
