VESPER, WI (OnFocus) – The village of Vesper, Wisconsin came alive on July 14th and 15th as residents and visitors participated in the annual “Vesper Days” event. The two-day extravaganza showcased a range of activities, entertainment, and festivities.
The event kicked off on Friday, July 14th, at Vesper Park. Families and friends gathered to enjoy a host of events, including inflatable attractions and an outdoor movie experience.
Saturday, July 15th, proved to be the highlight of the celebration, as Vesper Days reached its pinnacle. The day commenced with a vendor and craft fair, offering a wide array of local artisanal products, delicious treats, and captivating displays.
At noon, the town was abuzz with anticipation as the parade began. The procession showcased the community pride that Vesper embodies. Local public safety departments paraded in solidarity, demonstrating their commitment to keeping the community safe. The Funsters clown bus added a touch of whimsy and laughter, spreading joy to onlookers of all ages.
Miss Wisconsin Rapids Area graced the occasion, as did the Poppy Princess. Additionally, the local marching band set a lively pace, filling the air with patriotic tunes that resonated throughout the downtown. Notably, Haas Builder’s Supply’s 50th Anniversary float featured its founder, Bill Haas, who, at the age of 89, rode proudly in the truck, symbolizing the enduring legacy of the local business.
Vesper Days 2023 was made possible by the generous support of local sponsors, community organizations, and dedicated volunteers. The event serves as a testament to the spirit of Vesper and its commitment to fostering togetherness, fun, and a deep sense of pride in their town.
