With three weeks left in the season, some teams have clinched their playoff spot, some have some work to do, and no one has been eliminated yet. Next, we look at the Valley Football Association.

Playoff Qualified
Stevens Point (5-1, 4-0)

Playoff-eligible and can clinch a playoff spot with one more win.
Hortonville (4-2, 3-1 VFA) @DC Everest, vs Wausau West, @Marshfield
Hortonville most likely has a playoff spot but needs just one win to lock down a spot. But three games all against teams in the top half of the VFA will make it difficult.

Wausau West (5-1, 3-1 VFA) vs Appleton West, @Hortonville, @DC Everest
Wausau West took their first loss of the season to SPASH, but can get their playoff spot locked down with a win at home against winless Appleton West.

Work to do
DC Everest (4-2, 2-2 VFA) vs Hortonville, @Wausau East, vs Wausau West
DC Everest needs at least one more win to have a shot at the playoffs, a couple of tough games down the stretch means the game against 2-win Wausau East is almost a must-win to make sure they have a shot to get in.

Marshfield (2-4, 2-2 VFA) @Wisconsin Rapids, vs Stevens Point, vs Hortonville
Marshfield has a similar path to their rivals DCE. With a must-win game this Friday against one-win Wisconsin Rapids to have a shot to get in.

Wausau East (2-4, 1-3 VFA) @Stevens Point, vs DC Everest, vs Wisconsin Rapids
Wausau East has made a strong return to 11-player football in their last year in the VFA. They still have a long path to get to the playoffs but with a Week 9 game against 1-win Wisconsin Rapids, an upset in the next two weeks could get them in.

Wisconsin Rapids (1-5, 1-3 VFA) vs Marshfield, @Appleton West, @Wausau East
Wisconsin Rapids have had a tough start to the season, but with two very winnable games in Weeks 8 & 9 give Wisconsin Rapids a surprisingly positive path to playoff eligibility.

Appleton West (0-6, 0-4 VFA) @Wausau West, vs Wisconsin Rapids, @Stevens Point
Appleton West hasn’t technically been eliminated from a shot at the playoffs, but some big upsets are needed in the next few weeks, starting with a trip to Wausau West. A loss on Friday will end any thoughts that the Terrors have at the playoffs.

We will update these each week until the brackets are released and we break them down on October 14th.
