MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – More than 3 inches of rain fell overnight in Central Wisconsin, causing flooding throughout the area. More than 8″ is estimated to have fallen in the past week.
North Wood County Park (colloquially known as Richfield Park) south of Marshfield experienced extreme flooding, with water levels of the Yellow River rising far above normal and leaving campers stranded.
Entrances and exits to the park were limited, with picnic areas and normal thoroughfares completely flooded. More rain is expected tonight.
