MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Area United Way is seeking volunteers to participate in National Make a Difference Day, Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. On this morning, participants will be raking leaves for elderly and disabled Marshfield residents.
Make A Difference Day is a great event to help the community we call home with family, friends, church groups and/or co-workers. You can make all the difference with a little bit of time, a little bit of muscle and a lot of heart for Marshfield residents who are physically unable to rake their lawns themselves. Volunteers interested in helping on this day can register at volunteermarshfield.org, by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling 715-507-5005.
Volunteers are asked to register in advance so United Way can estimate how many lawns can be raked during the event. United Way asks that volunteers bring their own rakes and have their own transportation. A light snack and water will be provided.
Residents in need of assistance with their lawns should call United Way prior to October 14th to see if they qualify for assistance. Please note anyone receiving help on this day must be home on the morning of October 22. Additionally, residents are responsible for providing enough paper leaf bags to bag all the leaves raked by the volunteers.
Please contact Marshfield Area United Way at 715-507-5005 with any questions.
