Zachary Vruwink has lost his seat as Mayor of Wisconsin Rapids after 8 years on the job.
Vruwink lost to Shane E. Blaser by 312 votes.
Vruwink was first elected as Mayor in 2012.
Blaser is not a newcomer to Wisconsin Rapids Politics, serving as City Clerk from 2007-2015 and has been an alderman since 2015.
