Waupaca Soccer Takes down Mosinee

Mosinee (OnFocus) – Mosinee faced a veteran Waupaca team on Tuesday evening. While Mosinee took an early lead, Waupaca proved to have the edge in a 4-1 win.

Toren Holtz delivered the first goal, 18” in, taking care of a delivery from Ondrej Naprovnik. Mosinee maintained good form for much of the first half, but some momentary lapses allowed Waupaca to get back into the game. At 27”, Bryce Bolt scored for Waupaca, working up the left side and shooting into the far netting.

About 5 minutes before halftime, the Rockets got another goal on a quick-acting strike by Hesslin Trzebiatowski. The goal that put the game out came on a corner, with Trzebiatowski finishing the cross. Waupaca finished the scoring at 70”. Seniority does not always matter, but the 10 senior starters for Waupaca made their presence known.
