Wausau Shooting Victims Identified

Wausau Police Department has released names in last Thursday’s shooting at Pine Grove Cemetery.

Cemetery employee Patricia Grimm, 52, died at the scene. William Buhse, 60, also an employee, remains in critical condition. A 70 year-old female and Wausau resident treated for injuries and released was identified as Rosemelia Short, who is related to a cemetery employee.

Investigators say they have made significant progress in the case. The suspect, 64 year old Henry West, will appear in Marathon County Circuit Court on Friday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m.

Wausau Police is recommending preliminary charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and 2 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide. West is in custody on $1 million cash bond. He was a former employee of the cemetery.
