Wausau West Goes Wild at the Plate in Win over Wausau East

West bats were on fire tonight as they defeated East 18-3.  Ella Wendling started the game and earned the first conference win for West with Rachel Harder throwing an inning in relief. Tristan Young took the loss for East with Savannah Spees throwing two innings in relief.

Every West hitter had success at the plate tonight rallying 14 hits as a team and 15 earned runs. Caitlin Krantz 3 for 3 with 4 RBI’s and Claire Calmes 1 for 1 with a homerun, two intentional walks and a sac fly. Baylen Hulstrom, Sadie Peissig and Kenna Gale 2 for 3, Izzy Gullickson, Autumn Hughes and Addie Heil 1 for 2.
Baley Berndt and Maggie Nelson lead East bats both going 2 for 3. Savannah Spees and Claire Coushman 1 for 2 and Graysen Burger 1 for 3 with a double.
