Wausau West lost 2-8 against Marshfield in the conference opener tonight. Rachel Harder threw three innings and took the loss. Ella Wendling threw three innings in relief.
Claire Calmes 2 for 3, Taylor Liebelt 1 for 3 with a triple/RBI and Caitlin Krantz 1 for 3 with a single RBI. Sadie Peissig 1 for 3.
Marshfield 8 hits, West 5 hits. Unfortunately West with 4 errors and 5 walks/1 HBP allowed 6 unearned runs.
Wausau West lost to DC Everest 6-11 tonight. Ella Wendling started and took the loss for West while Addison Kluck started and took the win for Everest striking out 12.
Everest racked up 13 hits with home runs for D Witucki and B Brown. West had 7 hits with Claire Calmes 1 for 2 with a home run, Taylor Liebelt 1 for 2 with a triple, Addie Heil with a double, Autumn Hughes, Izzy Gullickson, Baylen Hulstrom and Grace Huggenvik with singles.
