Voting for the area’s top team saw a three team race for the title. Taking the title as the OnFocus Team of the Week, January 30 – February 5 was Wausau West Boys Wrestling, picking up 430 votes.
Second place went to Mosinee Girls Basketball, which received 192 votes.
Third place went to Medford Boys Wrestling, picking up 165 votes.

OnFocus Team of the Week, January 30 – February 5
- SPASH Boys Swimming – SPASH won the Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Swim Meet this week. Leading the way for SPASH were Cade Casey and Will Gargulak. Casey won the 100 backstroke, setting the WVC Meet record. Gargulak took a pair of first place finishes for SPASH, in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly.
- Marshfield Boys Basketball(nominated online) – The Tigers improved to 9-0 in the WVC with a 77-64 win over Wausau East. The Tigers connected on 14 three-pointers in the win. Marshfield is 9-0 atop the WVC, 12-4 overall.
- Mosinee Girls Basketball – Trailing by six at the half, Mosinee fought back with a dominating 21-3 second half advantage, claiming a 37-25 GNC victory. The win moves Mosinee to 10-0 in the GNC, 20-0 overall.
- Medford Boys Wrestling – Medford claimed five titles at the GNC Wrestling Tournament, finishing second as a team. Taking first for Medford were Thaddeus Sigmund, Owen Higgins, Jude Stark, Paxton Rothmeier and Gage Losiewicz. Medford also secured an undefeated dual season, with a 37-35 win over Tomahawk on Tuesday night.
- Wausau West Boys Wrestling – The Wausau West wrestlers took the title at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet, winning with 216.5 points.
