Saratoga (OnFocus) – On Saturday, July 18 at 11:34 PM, Wood County Central Dispatch received the report of a one-vehicle crash on County Road Z near Ross Trail.
An initial investigation indicated a vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road Z and left the roadway, striking a utility pole. The driver was the sole occupant and was transported to Aspirus Riverview Hospital in stable condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Due to the vehicle striking a utility pole, there were power lines down and areas without power. Alliant Energy fixed the lines and County Road Z was closed for several hours between State Highway 73 and Hollywood Road.
