WOOD COUNTY, WI (OnFocus) – Wheelers Family Auto Group is happy to announce two upcoming fundraising events aimed at supporting local law enforcement K9 units. These brat fry events will raise funds for the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department K9 Unit, the Marshfield Police Department K9 Unit, and the Wood County Sheriff’s Department K9 Units. Last year’s event raised over $10,000 for these departments!

These community-oriented events are an opportunity for residents and businesses alike to show their support for the invaluable work of local K9 units. All proceeds will be donated directly to the respective K9 units, helping them continue their essential role in ensuring public safety.
“We are excited to host these events in collaboration with the Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield Police Departments, as well as the Wood County Sheriff’s Department,” said Mary Jo Wheeler-Schueller, co-owner of Wheelers Family Auto Group. “Our K9 units are crucial in maintaining the safety and security of our communities, and we are committed to supporting their efforts.”
Sheriff Shawn Becker added, “The community’s support is vital for our K9 unit. These events provide a great opportunity to raise funds and for the public to meet the handlers and the dogs. K9 units serve multiple roles beyond drug enforcement, including locating lost persons and tracking evidence, making them a valuable asset to any law enforcement agency.”
In addition to the brat fry, attendees will have the chance to view a variety of vehicles, including the innovative EV Hummer, highlighting the latest in automotive technology.
