WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (OnFocus) – January 29, 2025, marks a major milestone for Wheeler’s Family Auto Group as they celebrate 10 years of family ownership at their Wisconsin Rapids GMC location (2410 W Grand Ave). Siblings Daniel and Mary Jo Wheeler, co-owners of the dealership, have continued to build on the legacy started by their late mother, Maryann Wheeler.
In 2015, Maryann Wheeler made a pivotal move by purchasing Neuville Buick in Wisconsin Rapids. The following year, she expanded the family’s footprint with the acquisition of Ironside GMC and the relocation of Wehrs Chevrolet from Bangor to Wisconsin Rapids. These strategic acquisitions solidified Wheeler’s position as a key player in the region’s automotive market.
After Maryann’s passing in 2017, Daniel and Mary Jo Wheeler took the helm, determined to honor their mother’s vision. They oversaw the construction of modern facilities in Wisconsin Rapids, ensuring the dealership’s continued growth and commitment to customer satisfaction.
In addition to their presence in Wisconsin Rapids, Wheeler’s Family Auto Group operates locations in Marshfield, Merrill, Medford, Coloma, and Abbotsford. This regional expansion reflects the Wheeler family’s dedication to meeting the automotive needs of communities across Wisconsin.
For the Wheeler family, success is deeply personal. Employees are celebrated as the backbone of the organization, and customers are treated like family. “Our employees and customers are the reason we’ve been able to grow and thrive. They’re an integral part of everything we do,” said Daniel Wheeler.
The late Maryann Wheeler’s philosophy continues to inspire the team: “With hard work, determination, and a little elbow grease, a person could do anything.” This mindset is evident in every aspect of the business, from day-to-day operations to long-term planning.
As the dealership celebrates this significant anniversary, the Wheeler family is focused on the road ahead. Their commitment to community, innovation, and exceptional service remains unwavering.
“We’re honored to carry on what our family started. This anniversary is a testament to their vision and the incredible support of our team and customers,” said Mary Jo Wheeler.
The Wheelers plan to continue building on their success, ensuring that Wheeler’s Family Auto Group remains a trusted name in Wisconsin’s automotive industry for years to come.
