UPDATE 3 p.m.: The road is now open. Staff said, “We unfortunately needed to euthanize one of our bison cows who broke her leg this morning. We consulted with our vet and it was the most humane and ethical choice.”
(OnFocus) Wildwood Park and Zoo announced the closure of its Large Animal Drive around its Upper Pond for several hours starting Wednesday afternoon.
The zoo remains closed, but the drive is open from 6 a.m. -10 p.m. daily. Those who walk or drive along the path can see the elk, deer, bison, wolves, and mountain goats. Walking trails also connect to this road.
