With Mother’s Day on Sunday, those interested in helping local food pantry “Soup Or Socks” can do so and also be entered to win mom a beautiful flower basket.
Donate 10 non-expired food items and be entered into a drawing for a flower basket donated by Turn Pike Greenhouse.
“We thought this would be a fun way to encourage everyone to support our local food pantries during an especially difficult time,” said Trisha Mayer, who helped organize the drive along with Kendra Schmidtke. “Thank you to Turn Pike for donating one of their beautiful flower baskets, and to Weiler’s for hosting the donation drop-off!”
After Sunday, for every 10 items donated through May 20, entries will be put towards another drawing for flowers from Mill Creek Gardens.
Items can be dropped off at Weiler Convenience Store (location by Walmart).
