Shopping Fundraiser Benefits The Hannah Center
Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) A lucky winner of The Hannah Center’s Festival Foods shopping spree took home more than $650 worth of groceries in just 90 seconds this Sunday.
Winner Susan Hasenfang was picked for the nonprofit’s 3rd annual shopping spree, which acts as a fundraiser. Tickets were sold for $10 with the drawing taking place on Nov. 16.
“We partner with The Hannah Center because it’s a fantastic organization, and it’s an honor to be able to provide and have the store available for them to do something like this,” said Matt Colby, Assistant Store Director.
The Hannah Center raised over $600 from the ticket sales, which will help it continue to assist women and children in crisis in a compassionate and nurturing environment.
“It takes approximately $250 per month on top of the food that is donated to our home to feed our families for one month,” said Tricia Fancher, Program Coordinator. “This fundraiser will assist our home with that cost for over two months.”
“I thought it went well and everything was perfect,” said Rick Finley, Shift Manager, who supervised the event. “I’m ready to do it again next year.”
The Hannah Center has operated for 26 years in the community and accepts no government or federal funding. To learn more about its mission and needs, visit www.hannahcenter.com.
