WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM CDT SATURDAY
WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING. MIXED PRECIPITATION EXPECTED TONIGHT, CHANGING TO MAINLY SNOW OVERNIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED, WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE WHERE ALL SNOWFALL. A LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATION AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH IS POSSIBLE. THERE MAY BE A LULL OR BREAK IN THE PRECIPITATION LATER SATURDAY MORNING OR SATURDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE HEAVY PRECIPITATION RETURNS SATURDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUES INTO SUNDAY NIGHT.
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS FROM SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY EVENING WILL RANGE FROM 9 TO 13 INCHES, BRINGING THE STORM TOTAL TO 12 TO 18 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. THE SNOWFALL AMOUNTS MAY CHANGE OVER THE NEXT DAY DEPENDING ON THE STORM TRACK.
