The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Marathon, Wood, and Portage Counties until 6:00pm this evening.
A light wintry mix will continue to impact parts of Central Wisconsin through late afternoon and northern Wisconsin through mid to late evening. The mixed precipitation will change over to all rain overnight from south to north. Until the precipitation changeover occurs, untreated roads, bridges and sidewalks may be slick. If driving, slow down to a safe speed and allow extra time to reach your destination.
Although air temperatures will remain at or a couple of degrees above freezing, roads surfaces will be colder such that any light rain that falls may freeze on untreated roads surfaces.
