MADISON, WI (OnFocus) – The State Capitol Building in Madison, WI was evacuated shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of smoke coming from the building.

According to a report by WISN News, the building was evacuated as emergency crews investigated the incident.

It was reported that a kitchen appliance or accessory caused the smoke and employees were allowed back in after a short period of waiting outdoors.
