Wisconsin COVID-19 Cases Rise to 106

Updated with newly released information from Wood County Health Department

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin has risen to 106, the Department of Health Services announced in Wednesday afternoon update.

There are 1,577 tests that have come back negative.

The highest number of cases are reported in Milwaukee County, at 47 cases. Milwaukee County is one of three counties where community spread has been identified — meaning patients had not traveled to an area with known community spread or been in contact with a known case.

There were no additional cases identified in Wood County. According to the Wood County Health Department, there is one positive test result and two negative test results. The positive case was confirmed Sunday.

Wisconsin’s first case of coronavirus was confirmed on Feb. 5, and a second case on March 9.
