Wisconsin Rapids Aquatic Center to Open June 7

OnFocus – The Wisconsin Rapids Aquatic Center is scheduled to open Monday, June 7 according to a post by the organization’s Facebook Page.

The aquatic center will be open from noon – 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The price of attending the aquatic center are as follows according to the center website:

Resident Day Pass (ages 3+): $7
$4* ONLY with purchase of punch card (5 entries/$20)
*Punch cards are available to City of Wisconsin Rapids residents ONLY, may be used for all individuals living at the same address and may be used in multiple visits.
Age 2 and under free with paid adult pass.

Resident Season Passes (ages 3+):
Single: $60
Veteran Single: $50**
Senior (62+): $30
Resident Veteran Senior (62+): $20**
Family: $120 + $10/person in excess of 4
Resident Veteran Family: $100 + $10/person in excess of 4**
**Proof of military service is required.

​Resident Non-Swimmer (only available to age 62 and over): $2

Non-Resident Day Pass (ages 3+): $7 
Age 2 and under free with paid adult pass.
Non-Resident Non-Swimmer (only available to age 62 and over): $4

Non-Resident Season Passes (ages 3+):
Single: $120
Veteran Single: $110**
Family: $240 + $10/person in excess of 4
Veteran Family: $220 + $10/person in excess of 4**
**Proof of military service is required.

​Day and Non-Swimmer/Guardian passes should be purchased at the Aquatics Center admissions desk.

The aquatic center has three pools. There is a “tot pool” which includes two water slides, spray features and a lazy river designed for kids.

The leisure pool includes a play area, basketball hoops, a water walk, lazy river with a “rapids” action channel, a tube water slide with plunge pool and a body water slide.

There is also a recreation pool which has basketball hoops, lap swimming, a zip line, diving board and a climbing wall. The center also features a concessions stand, shade structures, and a grass sunbathing area.

The $12 million project was completed last year and was officially opened on July 6, 2020.
