With a 3-1 lead heading into the top half of the 7th inning, Wisconsin Rapids looked to hang on to pick up a key WVC win over WVC conference-leading Marshfield. The Red Raiders picked up 5 insurance runs and bolted away with a big 8-1 win.
Megan Clary and Emily Friday had two hits to lead Rapids.
Rhiannon Carroll picked up the complete game win, giving up three hits and striking out 4.
