Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Names New Head Boys Swim & Dive Coach
Wisconsin Rapids, WI.- Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln is pleased to announce the
hiring of David Wittenberg as the new Varsity Boys Swim & Dive Coach.
David is a graduate of the Mid-State Technical Colleges Welding program as well
as the Commercial Dive Academy for Underwater Welding and Commercial
Diving. He is currently attending Mid-State Technical College to gain his Liberal
Arts degree and then plans to attend UWSP to finish his Education degree. He is
looking forward to being able to teach and coach in the area for many years to
come.
Coach Wittenberg is currently a 6th-grade Paraprofessional at Wisconsin Rapids
Area Middle School. Dave assisted in the development of the boys swim program
at the middle school and has continued to coach there the last five years as well
as taking over as the head coach for the girls middle school program since 2022.
“Water has always been a part of my life and I am excited to share that passion
with the team! There have been so many great coaches that were there along
the way for me. I am honored to take my place as a coach for my future
student-athletes. With a community behind us and meets ahead of us I know our
potential is great.”
The Lincoln High School Athletic Department is excited about what Coach Witternberg will bring to the Boys Swim & Dive program. He is an incredibly motivated person who is committed to building a successful program and building strong relationships with our student-athletes, school and community.
