OnFocus – The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a subject they are facetiously calling “Captain Boxer Shorts” or “Slothman.”
On Sept. 15th, 2020, a person climbed over a fence which had multiple strands of barbed wire at the top and entered the secured area at the WWLC Substation located on 19th Ave North in Wisconsin and possibly caused damage to a building.
“In the surveillance video, it’s quite clear this is no Spiderman cause of his slow sloth-like climbing speed and definitely no Superman, cause he didn’t leap over anything,” the department said in a social media post. “If you know this person’s identity, please don’t post on the FB page in comments, just contact us on Wood County Crime Stoppers.”
The Wood County Crime Stoppers have a new app to help solve and report crime in the community. The new app, P3, can be downloaded for free onto a phone or used online at http://p3tips.com/index.htm. This new app does eliminate the text-a-tip program that had been previously used. The Wood County Crime Stoppers tip line will still be available for citizens to call in 1-800-325-STOP (6867) WRPD Incident # 20-18429
