WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (OnFocus) – The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is creating a security camera registration program to help the department solve cases in the future.
The program would help create a map of businesses, homes, and other buildings that have security cameras so that police would know whom to contact if a crime occurred near the area.
The system would allow police to streamline the investigation process. The department wants to make it clear that by signing up for this program, business and residents would not be giving the department access to the cameras. You are helping the police know what cameras are available in an investigation.
If interested in signing up for the program, you can fill out this form.
