(OnFocus) A small black puppy was reunited with its owners after getting ejected during a rollover crash on I-90/94 near Portage, WI.

On Feb. 29 at 4:55 p.m., a Dodge Avenger was driving recklessly at high speeds and making unsafe lane changes when it struck a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and lost control. While it lost control, it struck a Toyota FJ Cruiser and forced it off the roadway.

The FJ Cruiser rolled over three times and came to rest against a tree. During the rollover, the puppy was ejected. The two occupants were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A trooper, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and the Portage Fire Department searched the area and located the uninjured puppy a short time later. The puppy was reunited with its owners at the hospital.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash. Charges are pending against the driver of the Dodge Avenger.
