MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – According to Riviera Maya News, Cancun police are investigating the non-fatal shooting of an American teen on a Puerto Morelos beach. The shooting took place late Monday night when the teen was on a beach outside his hotel.
At approximately 11:46pm, armed individuals approached the Wisconsin teenager while he was walking on the beach and shot him in the leg. The reason for the shooting is unknown. The teen was treated before being transferred to a Cancun hospital for a non life-threatening injury to his right thigh.
An investigation is underway.
