SPASH is eligible and has games they should win to clinch a playoff spot. The Panthers could very well do it Friday in Eau Claire.
Work to do
Wausau West (3-3, 2-2 WVC)
Remaining: Marshfield, @EC Memorial, River Falls
The path isn’t great, but it isn’t horrible for the Warriors. They have two winnable games in Marshfield and Eau Claire. But they will want to clinch up a spot before a trip to River Falls, who will most likely need that win to get in.
Eau Claire North (2-4, 2-2 WVC)
Remaining: Stevens Point, @Marshfield, @Wisconsin Rapids
North has a chance to get playoff eligible, with a game against winless Wisconsin Rapids in week 9, get a win over fellow playoff hopefully Marshfield in week 8, and clinch a spot.
Marshfield (2-4, 2-2 WVC)
Remaining: @Wausau West, EC North, @Stevens Point
Marshfield has a path, it is a specific one, win at Wausau West and at home to Eau Claire North. If you are a Tiger fan you don’t want your playoff hopes tied to an upset of SPASH in week 9.
Eau Claire Memorial (0-6, 0-4 WVC)
Remaining: @Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau West, DC Everest
There isn’t a great path but it starts with winning an elimination game in Wisconsin Rapids this week. Win that and it is on to the next step.
Wisconsin Rapids (0-6, 0-4 WVC)
Remaining: EC Memorial, @ New Richmond, EC North
Rapids has an almost insurmountable path to the playoffs. It starts with a win over EC Memorial on Friday.
