Wood County House Fire Leads to Drug Arrest

VILLAGE OF PORT EDWARDS, WI (OnFocus) – On May 22, 2022 the Wood County Sheriffs Department along with Port Edwards Police Department responded to a house fire in the Village of Port Edwards. While extinguishing the fire, evidence of a drug traffic residence were located.

The Wood County Sheriffs department executed a search warrant and large quantities of restricted control substances were located inside the residence. Investigators seized quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, United States currency along with drug paraphernalia during the search.

Multiple charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office including:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession THC
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession with Intent/ Maintain Drug Trafficking Residence

Talon Keyser (23) was taken into custody in connection to this investigation and is being
held at the Wood County Jail.

“Talon may not appear to take these charges seriously, but the Wood County Sheriffs Department does,” the department said in a statement.
