Wood County Issues Report on Incident in the Township of Rudolph
Wood County, Wisconsin – (OnFocus) On February 12, 2023, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to an armed robbery at the Food Tree convenience store located at 1759 Greenfield Avenue in the Township of Rudolph. The store clerk made a call to the Wood County Dispatch reporting that a subject had entered the store with a handgun and demanded lottery tickets, money, and cigarettes.
According to the report, the suspect fled the scene before the law enforcement arrived with an unknown amount of lottery tickets, money, and cigarettes. Surveillance footage of the incident has been obtained and the authorities are currently reviewing it in an attempt to identify the suspect.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has stated that they believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to the public. The suspect was wearing brown shoes, black pants, a camo hooded sweatshirt with “PINELAND” written on the front, a black mask, black and gray gloves, and was carrying a black bag.
