Woodchucks Lose Season Series to Jackrabbits 3-1

WAUSAU, WIS. – Kokomo came in and meant business Sunday afternoon at Athletic Park as they would sweep Wausau in the set, winning 5-2.

After scoring three runs in the first, the Jackrabbits (8-14/21-35) set the tone as they would never trail in the game.

They would add two more before Wausau (9-11/29-26) would score their first run of the game in the seventh.

Key Moments:

Jackrabbit pitcher Michael Vallone (DePauw) made his first start of the season and made work of the Woodchucks lineup – going six full innings while striking out 10. He would allow no runs and only two hits.

Jake Baker (Kansas) now has RBI hits in back to back games, as his single drove in the first run for Wausau Sunday.

Relief pitcher Dominick Reid (Oklahoma State) had his best outing of the season, going 5.1 innings striking out eight while only allowing two hits and two unearned runs.
