Woodchucks’ Three-Game Win Streak Comes to an End
MEQUON, Wis. – It was all Lakeshore in the final few innings Friday night at Kapco Park, leading them to a 10-2 win.
In a game that was tied up at two a piece through five, it looked like we would have a similar game like last night. The Chinooks (9-16) made sure that wasn’t the case.
Behind a four-run sixth and a three-run seventh, Lakeshore was able to take down Wausau (15-11) for the first time this season.
Key Moments:
As a pitching staff, the Woodchucks allowed a combined 13 walks. Three of those came in the sixth before a three-run home run was hit by Hunter Grimes (Arkansas) for Lakeshore.
Jesse Donohoe (Georgia State) picked up the first triple of the season for Wausau in the second inning.
Up Next:
Stop two of the road trip, as Wausau heads to the East to face off against Kokomo. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m. CT Saturday, June 24.
