Voters Being Mailed New Ballots
Marshfield (OnFocus) – Local absentee ballots have been mailed for Wisconsin’s next election, the August 11 primary. Supplying ballots early meets a federal requirement. Click here to learn how to request an absentee ballot.
Ward 9 and Ward 18 in the City of Marshfield were mailed incorrect ballots. The ballots contain voting for the 86th Assembly District, but those wards are represented by the 69th Assembly District.
“There was a programming/printing error in Wards 9 & 18 in the City of Marshfield. These two wards are in the 69th Assembly District, and the original absentee ballots that were sent had the 86th Assembly District contest on them,” said Wood County Clerk Trent Minor. “Replacement ballots, along with an explanation, were sent out on Monday, June 29th. Voters with questions can either call the City Clerk’s office at 715-486-2023, or the Wood County Clerk’s office at 715-421-8460.”
The City of Marshfield is divided between the 86th and 69th Assembly Districts. The 86th Assembly District is currently represented by John Spiros, who is running unopposed. The 69th District is a contested race between Donna Rozar-R, Tim Miller-R, Michael Smith-R, Matthew Windheuser-R, and Brian Giles-D.
