As reported by multiple media sources, World Wrestling Entertainment(WWE) has asked for approval in multiple states to allow for betting on professional wrestling matches.
Summary:
- WWE is working with Ernst and Young to secure match results(pre-determined) are sealed from the public
- WWE has had discussions with state gambling regulators to allow betting on scripted matches
- WWE is aiming to allow major sports betting companies to bet on high-profile matches
- Wrestling executives say they will not inform wrestlers who will win until hours before a match
