A ribbon cutting was held September 25 for Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA Everett & Dolores Roehl Youth Center. Phase One of the expansion and renovation project “Changing Lives. Building Futures,” is complete.

Licensed Child Care facilities are part of the new Youth Center, along with classrooms, outdoor playground, kitchen, and new School Age Center for homework help and recreation. Expanded services include housing Marshfield School District’s Alternative School and early childhood education with Wood County Head Start. Children will have early access to health care.

Phase 2 of construction will be for the Healthy Living Center and Roehl Family Fieldhouse, part of a successful $10 million capital campaign to expand and renovate the YMCA. This project is expected to be completed late next spring.
